Buying a car · Hillside, Harare

Four steps from browsing to driving away

No auction, no bidding, no waiting on a stranger to reply. You are buying from a dealership with premises you can walk into, and the same people answer the phone before and after the sale.

The process

How it works

Most customers get from a first phone call to a set of keys inside a week.

Step 1

Find the car

Browse the stock on the forecourt with photographs, mileage, year and full specifications on every vehicle. Filter by make, body type, price or mileage until you have a shortlist.

Step 2

View it or test drive it

Book a time and come and see the car in Hillside. Drive it, look underneath it, and bring your own mechanic if you would like to — we would rather you were sure.

Step 3

Reserve it

A deposit takes the car off the market and holds it in your name while your funds come together. The deposit comes off the purchase price, and the terms are set out before you pay.

Step 4

Collect it

Settle the balance, we complete the change of ownership, and you drive away. We hand over the paperwork, the spare key where there is one, and the service history we hold.

Who you deal with

One team, from first call to handover

The person who answers the phone is the person who shows you the car, and the same people are here after the sale. No call centre, no agents, nobody reading a listing back to you.

Ask the awkward questions. Why the price is what it is, what the panel gap at the back is about. You will get an answer from someone who has driven it.

Every vehicle

What comes with the car

The same three things whether the car costs three thousand dollars or thirty.

An inspected vehicle

Body and engine checked over before the car goes on sale. Where something needs attention we tell you what it is rather than leaving you to find it.

Paperwork in order

Registration book, and the clearance documents on an imported vehicle. We handle the change of ownership as part of the sale.

An honest description

The mileage, the condition and the origin of the car as they actually are. If a vehicle is a recent import or has been locally owned, the listing says so.

Practicalities

Paying, and what to bring

How you can pay

  • Cash in USD
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile money
  • Card, for the reservation deposit online

The reservation deposit can be paid online. The balance is settled in branch or by transfer against an invoice we issue you, so that the handover happens face to face with the paperwork in front of both of us.

What to bring

  • National ID or passport
  • Proof of residence, for the change of ownership
  • Your driver's licence, if you intend to test drive

If you are buying in a company name, bring the certificate of incorporation and a letter authorising you to sign. It saves a second trip.

The other two journeys

Not buying today?

We also buy pre-owned vehicles outright, and import to order when what you want is not on the forecourt.

Sell us your car

Tell us about the vehicle and send photographs. We come back to you with an offer and a reference, and if you accept, we handle the change of ownership. No listing fees and no strangers coming to your gate.

Import a car to order

Tell us the make, model and budget. We quote you the landed cost — the vehicle, shipping, duty and clearing in one figure — and track the order through to delivery.

Ready when you are

Browse what is on the forecourt right now, or send us a message and tell us what you are looking for.
