Can I see the car before I buy it?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Our forecourt is at 14 Brailsford Crescent, Hillside, Harare and we are open Mon to Sun, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Come and look the vehicle over, drive it, and bring your own mechanic if you would like a second opinion.

Are the cars on the website the cars you actually have?

Yes. Every vehicle on this site is a car we own and have photographed ourselves. Stock moves quickly, so if a car is sold it stays on the site with a Sold badge rather than disappearing — that way you can see what we shift and what we tend to stock.

Question 3

Can I reserve a car while I raise the money?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A deposit takes the vehicle off the market and holds it in your name. The deposit comes off the purchase price, and the terms — how long the hold runs and what happens if the sale does not go ahead — are set out in writing before you pay anything.

Question 4

How do I pay, and can I pay everything online?

We take cash in USD, bank transfer and mobile money. The reservation deposit can be paid online by card. The balance is settled in branch or by transfer against an invoice we issue, so the handover happens face to face with the paperwork in front of both of us.

Do you take trade-ins?

We do. We will value your current vehicle and put that figure against the price of the one you are buying. Tell us about it when you enquire and bring it with you when you come to view, so we can look at it at the same time.

Is the price negotiable?

Talk to us. The price on the listing is the price we are asking, and it is the same price for everybody who walks in — we do not quote one figure online and another on the forecourt. Where there is room to move on a particular car, we will tell you.

Do you deliver outside Harare?

We are based in Harare but we are open to deals from any part of the country. Buyers regularly travel in to collect. If you are coming a long way to see a specific car, call ahead and we will hold it for you rather than have you arrive to find it gone.

Do you buy cars, or only sell them?

We buy pre-owned vehicles outright. It is a straightforward sale to the dealership: no listing fees, no waiting for a private buyer, and no strangers coming to your gate to test drive your car.

How do I sell my car to you?

Submit the details and photographs through our Sell Your Car form. You get a reference number, and one of our buyers comes back to you with an offer. If the offer works for you we arrange an inspection, and if the car is as described we complete the purchase and the change of ownership.

How do you decide what to offer?

The make, model, year, mileage and condition, set against what that vehicle is currently fetching locally and how quickly it is likely to sell. We will explain the figure rather than just quote it, and you are free to decline.

Will you buy a car that still has finance on it?

Accepted Answer

Tell us up front if there is money outstanding. It does not necessarily stop the sale, but the settlement has to be handled properly and that changes the paperwork, so we need to know before we make an offer rather than at signing.

Can you import a specific car for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us the make, model, year and your budget, and we source it, ship it and clear it. This is what we do when the car you want is not on the forecourt — you are not restricted to what we happen to have in stock.

Will the price include duty?

We quote you a landed cost: the vehicle, shipping, duty and clearing in a single figure. That is the number to compare against a locally available car, and it is the number we hold ourselves to.

How long does an import take?

It depends on the source market and on the shipping schedule, and it is measured in weeks rather than days. We give you an expected timeline when we quote, and we tell you when the vehicle is bought, when it ships, and when it clears.

Question 15

What do I need to bring to buy a car?

Accepted Answer

Your national ID or passport, and proof of residence for the change of ownership. Bring your driver's licence if you intend to test drive. If you are buying in a company name, bring the certificate of incorporation and a letter authorising you to sign.

Do you handle the change of ownership?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is part of the sale. We hand over the registration book, the clearance documents where the vehicle was imported, and whatever service history we hold on the car.

Is the mileage on the listing genuine?

Accepted Answer

The mileage we publish is the mileage the vehicle shows and what our own checks support. We photograph the dashboard with the odometer visible as part of every listing, so you can see it before you come out.
